TOM ROWLANDS AND ED SIMONS' 3RD FULL-LENGTH FROM 1999 REISSUED. Surrender was the culmination of the massive success celebrated with their first two albums, and the start of the duo's shift away from the super-bland "big beat" tag towards the even-blander "electronica" label but it did produce some worthwhile results. Featuring guest appearances from , Jonathan Donahue and their Northern brethren (), (, ) and Bobby Gillespie (, ), the album boasts a mix of rock radio crossovers ("Let Forever Be", "Out Of Control") and relatively straightforward techno ("Got Glint?" and "Under The Influence", haaa), while the late nineties / early 00s bedroom ravers will surely remember "Hey Boy Hey Girl" from MTV AMP.
