The band was at the peak of their popularity and influence at the time, but were dealing with creative differences brewing internally which lead to a much more diverse and eclectic album (at one point Ringo quit and Paul played drums on a couple tracks). None the less, the white album is still one of their greatest efforts, a double LP worth of classic material clocking in over 90 minutes in length with 30 tracks in all.
