Although there is no "T.R.O.Y." on The Main Ingredient, the album, the last from Smooth, many argue is at LEAST on par with Mecca and the Soul Brother. Featuring a more polished sound, relies on his signature production style - smooth basslines, horns, filtered samples, etc - to provide groove-washed, jazzy backdrops for CL's "intellectual rhymes and narratives." "I Got A Love" was the lead single, with "Take You There," "Searching," "Carmel City," "Sun Won't Come Out," "Check It Out," and more sure to satisfy all the Golden Era fans out there.
