Original Lab review:

Proof that has been fucked up since the very beginning, just look at the cover. I wish my brother george was here? What the hell does that mean? Ice Cube's little cousin came at things from a completely different angle, working with Cube and others on the beats while they (amazingly) let him go off solo for all vocals. The two major singles "Mista Dobalina" and "Dr Bombay" did extremely well but also labeled Del as somewhat of a lightweight... not quite in the zone with Candyman or anything, but "real headz" weren't really checking this first album from those indicators. Well if you missed it, you missed something pretty damn good. Straight sampling is still in its heyday (got to love "Same Ol Thing"), Del's flow is right where it should be and he hasn't surpassed the 100 hits of acid mark yet, so his lyrics still make sense. Check "Ahone Two Ahone Two." This is a solid listen all the way through, maybe even better than the No Need For Alarm album. And I love songs about shit like bummy friends sleeping on your couch. That's real. 14 tracks including "Pissin On Your Steps," "Sunny Meadowz," "Hoodz Come In Dozens," "Ya Lil Crumbsnatchers" and others.
