CrucialBrian Eno work reissued.Discreet Musicwas originally released in 1975 and marked a significant stylistic shift toward ambient music.Compared tothemore traditionalrock aesthetic ofhis previous efforts(Here Come The Warm Jets, Taking Tiger Mountain, andAnother Green World), hereutilized a minimalist set up of synthesizer and tape delay to create the strikingtitle track that would influence many works to come.The B-side suite "Three Variations on the Canon in D Major" was actually performed by the Cockpit Ensemble lead by fellow Obscure label alum Gavin Bryars. This 2018 reissue features the 2004 remastered tracks and comes pressed on heavyweight 180 gram vinyl.
