Black Star still shinin'. This album was arguably the apex of the nineties indy rap scene. In 1998 Rawkus was threatening to change the hip-hop structure, and two of the label's most prized artists ( and , plus the label's go-to producer ) joined together to form the supergroup known as Black Star. But more importantly, this album did not disappoint the thirsty ears. Singles like "Definition," "Brown Skin Lady" and "Respiration" remain relevant, even by today's standards. Then you get to re-discover all the excellent album cuts like "Astronomy" featuring , "Children's Story, Thieves In The Night," and "Twice Inna Lifetime." Timeless indy rap, a rare combination. Limited edition remastered repress on two tone pic disc vinyl (featuring all over black stars of course).
